There are 66 Slovak and 33 Czech groups of restricted technical devices and each group is must legally meet slightly different requirements.  Furthermore, roughly 60% of the CSN and STN diverge from the basic European norms (EN).

What do we do?

We provide a service to properly establish your technology in accordance to Slovak and Czech legislation. Our standards is to provide our clients a reliable source of information and expertise regarding any specific legislation related to your current issue. Traditionally, the client reaches out to us with particular project or technical case. After clarifying the issue and expectations, we proceed to deliver a structured report. The technology is analysed in the report, with the description every legal discrepancy from EU standards that was found and every potential concern that might arise in future when dealing with safety and operational regulations in Slovak or Czech Republic.

Do not wait until the technology is builT

Commonly, the findings are crucial in regard to the design of the technology or price offers. Ideally, these issues should be dealt with in the phase of planning and designing, where any potential change can be made before the product or technology is built.

Make sure that you are buying and/or shipping technology conferring to the local legal standardS

Regularly the technology supplied outside from European Union poses a significant risk of not adhering to local legislation. In these cases, further diligence is required before shipping to EU or accepting such technology here. Currently, there are significant gaps between what can legally be sold vs. what is being sold. If the technology is handed over to operator, he becomes liable for any issues that technology causes.

Common cases of our consulting services occur in several key situationS

  • safety designs and solutions for technology
  • EX proof systems for potentionaly explosive atmospheres
  • hygienic parameters in working areas
  • fire protection for buildings and technology
  • environmental conditions

Operator: Pre-handover due diligence of technology

Ensuring you are paying for technology without any legal issues

Often, suppliers consider only the CE declaration as sufficient condition for their technology to operate anywhere in EU. However, in Slovak and Czech Republic this is not the case. Due to old STN/ČSN (Slovak and Czech Technical Norms), decrees, and national appendices to STN-EN norms, there are numerous additional requirements that must be passed in order for the technology to be compliant with local law. If subjected to inspection, technology with only CE can cause potential delays in production and/or various legal fees, depending on the severity of the deficiency.

Testing Service provides detailed, diligent check and inspection of fulfilment of CR/SR legal requirements and norms CSN, STN, EN for both technology (design) and the required documentation. The technology either passes the due diligence with TS approval stating that it adheres to local legislation or the inspection results in an output consisting of TS expert opinion detailing the insufficiencies that are required to be fixed before installation of the technology.

VALID-SK, VALID-CZ

Pre-deliver validation of the technology FOR SUPPLIERS OF TECHNOLOGY

Any new technology shipped to Czech or Slovak Republic or technology that is being reconstructed must be in accordance to local legislation and norms. Due to the differences between EU and CZ/SK norms and legislation, the CE certification of conformity is not enough to provide a full protection for the operator and further adjustments must be made to ensure that the machine/technology is locally compliant.

Our Experience

Over past 20 years, we have worked with numerous suppliers and operators and helped them to validate and establish their operations of technology in to Czech Republic and Slovakia. We aim to prevent any problems for our clients that might arise from insufficient insight to Czech and Slovak technical legislation.
